IMPHO directly collaborated with the artist, himself, in creating this magnificent Race image of Aussie superstar, Troy Bayliss aptly titled 'Red Baron'. In 2006 Troy Bayliss returned to the World Superbike Championship, from MotoGP, and captured the title so convincingly. The Troy v's Troy battle we were promised did not eventuate as was the sheer dominance of the Ducati stalwart. By the final round of the MotoGP Championship at Valencia, Spain, Team Ducati was without one of its official riders, Sete Gibernau, who was out injured. To reward Troy for his Word Superbike Title, Ducati enlisted Troy as a 'Wild Card' rider for the final round. Having previously helped with the development and racing of the Desmosedici for 2 years, 2003-2004, there could be no better choice for the Factory ride.

Those who watched what happened next witnessed History in the making, as the 'Red Baron' qualified 2nd fastest and then lead the race from start to finish in what was to become the very first 'Wild Card' rider to win a Premier Class race. It was dominant, it was victorious and it was a day to be very proud of this fine Australian and his achievements. It was also the day that Valentino Rossi handed his Championship 'Mantle' over to USA's Nicky Hayden.
