TURPENTINE

Syncarpia glomulifera

A native of New South Wales and Queensland where it prefers heavy, well-drained soils in a part shaded, protected position.

It does not like frost or drought. 

An large, evergreen tree growing to a height of 50 metres with a spread of 5 metres. The stem is straight, erect and branching with a stringy bark and a dense crown; the leaves, 10 cm long, are dark greem with a woolly underside and undulating margins; the flowers are cream, clustered into dense, fluffy balls and appearing in spring and summer.

This tree provides durable, patterned timber suitable for flooring. 

Offered is a packet of 200 seeds and Grownotes to assist you to cultivate this handsome tree.
