Please see my other auctions for the RARE and UNUSUAL
You are bidding on a ..............Vintage US Mail Postage Vending
Machine with porcelaine enamel face.....very art deco
I am not too sure how old this machine is but at a guess I would say
its from the 1930's or 40's, You may be able to date it by the two US
stamps inside, a one cent and a 3 cent, may even be older? This is a nice
old postage stamp vending machine. The front panel is really nice porcelaine
enamel, the balance of the caseing is painted steel. The machine is in
quite nice condition for its age , the painted sides are lightly scratched
as would be expected from a working machine of this age. The porcelaine
face is very nice, however the top edge of the porcelaine face has a couple
of large blemishes, can't be seen from the front. I don't have a key,
but it is open. I have no way of testing the machine to see if it works
or not?. Makes a great conversation piece
The pictures can probably tell a better storey than what I can, so please
be patient downloading..
Please ask any and all questions, I don't pretend to be any sort of
an expert in relation to stamp vending machines, however I shall try and
answer any questions you might have?
I have started the auction with an opening bid of $295 and no reserve.
This in no way reflects the value of this interesting stamp vender but
gives you the opportunity to purchase a very interesting and collectable
item at a bargain price. So please bid with confidence.
