NB. ** Only applies if using Telstra sim ** - This USB modem will only work in some areas of Telstra Next G network (60% rather than 99% population coverage) which operates at 850/2100MHz.

WHY? Telstra and Three (3) have a sharing agreement so you can connect using a Telstra sim in areas where there is coverage for Three (3) this is called 3Telstra. This modem is compatible with 3Telstra (2100MHz) which is only available in areas with Three (3) 3G network coverage (60% population coverage), but not other areas of the Telstra Next G network which operate at 850MHz.
