A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
This steel framed piano was bought new by my family in, I
think, the 1950s. Consequently, I’m guessing that it is about 60 years old.
It has a very nice cabinet but there are a few blemishes. I
think that a good French Polisher should be able to bring the cabinet back very
nicely.
It has stool which doesn’t quit match the cabinet, but goes
with it reasonably well.
It is badly out of tune as it hasn’t been tuned for about 15
years. It could take some work to bring it back into good tune.
There are no ‘dead’ keys, although the highest D note on the
keyboard doesn’t return exactly to the strike position after having been played
(it remains a little depressed below the level of the other keys), and a few of
the keys produce a longer sustained note than others – in that regard the felt
on some hammers may need some attention.
