In my younger years I just couldn't wait to get to school, to get to chemistry class, put on those clear safety glasses and just sit there waiting for the teacher. Experiment or not....I loved to wear those glasses.
But it really took me by amazement that not everyone felt the same way. You see, when I finally got a part time job, I raced out and with my first paycheck bought my own pair of clear safety glasses. We were never separated again. Night clubs, the beach, dinner dates, I wore them everywhere. And then one day, this girl tore my heart out - she told me they just weren't cool. I never recovered.
But today is a happy day...I found the Unisafe protective sunglasses. Now to the unsuspecting, they look like expensive 100% UV protection sunglasses. But I and now only you, know their hidden secret!!
But in all seriousness, these glasses stop stuff taking your eyes out. The greatest issue we have with tradies is that they take their glasses off too much and it's those times when you just haven't put them on when stuff happens. These are really comfortable and because you don't look like a dork, you're happy to leave them on your head, where they work, not in your toolbox. Rarely when something flies out do you have time to duck back to the toolbox to fetch your safeties in time!!
If you have a son or apprentice that won't do the right thing, then this should get them on the right track too. I leave a spare pair in the ute now just in case I'm onsite and need a pair.
They're an industrial item made by Tyco and rated medium impact and meet all the Australian Standards. The lenses are UV400 optical grade polycarbonate and are antiscratch - good for the ute.
Postage is $9.95 Australia wide, registered and insured to your door and happy to combine with any other items if it helps you save a quid.
As always, happy to answer any questions on these by email or phone 0432 012 081 (7am - 11pm)
And hey, don't tell my Chemistry teacher I've changed!!!
