Why We Don't Use Hard Cases
To Mail CD’s in Hard Plastic Covers increases the package weight. This may change the Australia Post mailing classification from CD Mailer to Small Parcel Rates. Depending on the number of CD's ordered, this could add up to $3.70 to the total cost of postage. It's an unpredictable cost and we have found that our customers prefer to have all costs disclosed up front. (No Nasty Surprises)
When you purchase an item on CD, you are bidding on the CD Contents, This is no different from any other vendor selling CD’s. The costs to produce a CD are the same regardless of the content. The cost to produce a Free CD on a Computer Magazine are the same as those of Microsoft to produce it’s Office Suite. Although Microsoft charge between $400 and $900 for their CD. It’s the content that governs the price.
As you can see form the above example – Should you win one of our CD’s for 0.99c then we actually make very little profit on the sale. We offer our CD’s at a low starting price to encourage bidding. Other vendors selling similar products have much higher starting prices and higher postage charges too.
Multiple item purchases have a Packing/Handling charge of $2.00 for each additional item. (You could look at this in a Glas Half Full mindset and think of it as a $2.00 discount per item). This covers our business costs as well as the CD and Printing Costs for the extra item.
We do not try to profit from postage charges like some sellers and have priced our postage and handling charges as a level we feel is acceptable to our customers and will cover our costs to provide these items to the public.
If you do not agree with our system of Postage and Handling Charges, we would ask you to refrain from bidding on our items.
