A Large, Impressive and Unusual Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Vesta Case

Description

This large vesta case has a plain rectangular rounded form.

To the front of the vesta case is a contemporary engraved soldier of the Victorian Scottish Regiment* (founded in Melbourne, Australia in 1898).

The soldier is dressed in Gordon tartan, with the accompanying busbee and sporran.

The vesta case is fitted with a plain ring attachment and has a serrated striker to the underside.

The hinged cover opens to reveal full hallmarks struck to the rim of the case.

The reverse of the vesta case is plain.

This large vesta case has a plain rectangular rounded form.
