HERBERT PRAED

With separate annotation, captioned: 'the philanthropist', published by VBD, 18 July 1871, signed: 'APE' BR. Original antique lithograph, image size: 180x310 paper size: 260x380. Very good condition, no creases, folds, rips or tears, very good colour, clean, loose, age toned as is usual, no holes or library stamps.

A banker, Conservative MP for Colchester. A charitable man given to helping the lower classes, even joining and lining up with them. An eminent roller skater, raquet player and fencer.
