CONDITION: All journals are in very good to excellent condition. Binder shows some general wear, and specifically: at cloth spine ends (ie the journals have pulled the cloth spine inwards at the ends where they are attached)-see pic 1 .. Cloth on front has some light marking. Inside cover of binder showing some wear lower front (see pic #2). Back cover of binder has a stain or watermark near top.
These six journals, in beautiful protected condition, portray a practical country culture more realistically than any tourist publication or, perhaps works of fiction for that matter...Full of different types of animals, plants, diseases, rural technology etc.-all in an arguably tougher but, more simple and straight-forward period..
