A DWARFED TREE MANUAL FOR WESTERNERS
By Samuel Newsom
Almost everyone likes miniature trees. The West has at last discovered the beauty of dwarfed trees and this book, printed in 1963 is purposely written for Westerners.
It is filled with details of care throughout the year, not described in other publications. The sections dealing with Japanese methods are excellent source material, while the chapter based on the author's own dwarfed tree garden shows how a Westerner with rather limited time can take care of a considerable number and variety of dwarfed trees. This "Manual for Westerners" is a must for the Bonsai enthusiast!
