This item up for auction is a Vintage 1956 (I believe the L6 on the movement indicates that year) Bulova Wristwatch (NO Band!) that I acquired out of a local household where it had been in storage for many years, just as I got it and just what you will see in my pictures! The Case measures about 1-1/2" (including the lugs) x about 1-1/16" (not including the Winding Knob), the movement is marked "Bulova Watch Co. 11 AC 17 Seventeen Jewels BXW Unadjusted Swiss L6", has "Bulova L6 B339535" on the back and has "Bulova 10K Rolled Gold Plate Bezel Stainless Back New York" on the inside of the back cover, all of which should help you know just what you would be getting! Mechanically, it does NOT run, you can wind the knob a little but that doesn't do anything, if you manually flick the balance wheel it runs a few ticks or seconds, I'm not a Watch person so really don't know what it needs to run, but definitely needs some attention or repair work, the winding knob does pull up and sets the time as it should though. Cosmetically, the Case has some wear with some small areas of total plating loss or wear though, mainly on the ends of the lugs, otherwise it has some tarnish and old dirt/gunk, especially on the pins, some little nicks, marks, scratching and scuffing, etc.., consistent with long ago normal usage, and all of which you should be able to see in my pictures, the lens has a fair-sized chip at the bottom righthand corner, some smaller ones elsewhere, and some scratching and scuffing, but still has pretty decent clarity and the Dial has some light gold discoloration areas, some small black spots under "BULOVA" and some tarnish spotting and speckling, but otherwise looks OK, and all in all, this still looks like a pretty decent item to me to add to your Vintage Watch Collection just as it is and especially if you don't have one like it yet or maybe just for parts!
