VINTAGE CHILD’S PLAID UMBRELLA CLOWN HANDLE c1940-50

Offering a vintage child’s red plaid umbrella with a clown handle. The handle is Lucite or Prystal, and is clear with painted details, and it has a woven wristband for carrying. The umbrella has the name Karen L. Beckwirth printed on a fabric label; the label is sewn to the inside of the umbrella. The umbrella has faint discoloration on the top and one small hole near the edge and one tiny pinhole as shown in the photos. It functions and is suitable for the intended use. The fabric is resilient and strong. It measures 25” in diameter when open, the handle is approx 20” long overall and the clown measures 3” in length. Guaranteed an authentic textile circa 1940-50, roughly 57 years old, and not recent reproduction or import. Please note our items our stored in a smoke free climate controlled environment using natural lavender as an insect repellent and may arrive with a faint lavender fragrance. We have amassed a large selection of Pennsylvania estate linens from the Civil war era, Victorian, Edwardian and 1950's era.  Printed and monogrammed tablecloths, quilts, hats, bonnets, christening gowns, French lace, girls dresses from the 1800's through 1950's.
