This is an exceptional hard to find vintage 1995 Ashton Drake Galleries porcelain doll collection.  This set is the first issue in the original issue of the Only at Grandma's and Grandpa's collection.  This set is designed by artist Yolanda Bello and is an exclusive to Ashton Drake Galleries.  This is called I'LL FINISH THE STORY GRANDPA.   Collection consists of Porcelain Grandpa, Porcelain Granddaughter, big fluffy stuffed armchair, grandpas glasses, grandpas slippers, and the story book.  Grandpa is 14 inches tall and has the few hairs on his head combed over!! He is wearing the grandpa cream colored thick acrylic sweater with large buttons, a blue button up shirt, thick wool pants, he has burgandy colored sock feet and is sound asleep!! Granddaughter is 7-1/2 inches and has cute blond hair, wearing a pink ruffled pjs and matching slippers.  She has gorgeous blue eyes.  The chair is burgandy floral upholstered with wood underbase and is  9-1/4 inches tall, 5-1/2 inches front to bach and 9 inches wide.  When put together this is an awesome scene and large!  All pieces are in mint/like new condition, no damage of any kind, all pieces have only been out of the box this once for photos.  I didnt take all the bubble wrap off, I wanted to keep clean and new.  No chips to anything!  Includes all paperwork, COA and original tags.  No reserve on this expensive and very hard to find piece.  Porcelain dolls, etc.. are all handcrafted and handpainted with such detail and realism.   On back of Grandpa neck is the handnumbered limited edition number of KH1886B and the signature into the porcelain of the designer.      This is such a memorie collection.  You know, Grandpa sits down to read his Granddaughter a lovely story, but falls asleep!!  She decides ILL FINISHS THE STORY GRANDPA!   This set is so detailed and so much more exquisite in person.  Really hard to see all the detailed pieces.  Everything is back in box and original.  I also have the rare Grandma collection that goes with this on my site now too.  This is a rare find and a wonderful gift for the collector.  Set weighs almost 5 pounds.
