up for your consideration today is a vintage advertising chair. these were used

by taubmans and dulux in the 1950's, given to local paint retailers and hardware

stores to show the finish of a particular paint range, in this case, "dynamel" by taubmans.

these are rarely seen these days. there is a dulux chair featured in my copy of

carters "everything vintage" 2007 but i cannot find another example of a

taubmans chair anywhere online.

this chair is in rustic condition. it is wobbly and in it's current state would not be

suitable for more than display. as you can see, someone has tried very hard to secure

 it but to no avail. i quite like it in it's current state, it has a real industrial feel to it,

but someone who is handy (and i am not) would be able to give it a little restoration job,

 i am sure some glue and new screws would bring it to it's former glory.

it is 92cm tall in total, 42cm at widest, 41cm deep, 46cm from floor to seat,

back rest is 46cm tall.

this item is also on view for sale at my stall at "the bottom drawer" in moorooduc.

it is possible that i may have to end this listing early if it is sold thru the stall,

 but is highly unlikely.
