This is the FINAL listing for this item – thanks to everyone for your custom. In two weeks I wing my way back to Egypt where I’m living these days. Anything that remains unsold on ebay will be headed to the charity shop. So sorry folks, definitely no second chances or re-lists for this item.
GENUINE JAPANESE MID 20TH CENTURY IMITATION WOOD LACQUER JUBAKO
DECORATED WITH AN ATTRACTIVE IMITATION MAKIE DESIGN OF PEONY BLOSSOMS AND LEAVES SET AGAINST A RICH DEEP RED WOODGRAIN LOOK.
I purchased this from a Japanese-Australian family who were moving house and selling many of their antique, vintage and everyday objects. This was bought by the family at the markets in Japan in the late 1970s, and would have been made in the 1960s.
This is in excellent condition AND A VERY NICE ITEM - NOT TOO MANY WOULD BE ABLE TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS AND THE REAL THING. THE DECORATIVE PAINTING IS BEAUTIFUL
Dimensions: 22.5 cm in diamter, 12 cm high
Nice lidded serving dish, something different
Happy bidding!
Please email before bidding if you have any questions. I'm not an expert but do the very best I can to describe items honestly and accurately. If you're unsure of the description or have any questions at all - please ask - I'll do my best to help if I can.
Also recently I have had my first Australia Post problem so I recommend you take registered post (there is an extra cost) as unfortunately I cannot be responsible for postage issues once the item has left. I pack with care as I would like you to get the item as I would like to receive it if the shoe was on the other foot! I really want you to enjoy your purchase.
