THE  LID IS BROWN BAKELITE AND HAS A LITTLE BUTTON ON THE TOP. I THINK THIS IS TO TURN IT ON AND OFF, BUT I'M NOT SURE.

UNDER THE LID READS -

N74-GES / 7 / 8     -    A.C.ONLY   -    GILFORD SYDNEY

UNDERNEATH THE JUG READS -

9   -   G.E.4  (AND THEN THERE IS STHE NUMBER 8 IN TWO CIRCLES.

WORKS PERFECTLY.

THE CORD HAS 'HECLA'WRITTEN ON IT.
