We have for auction a vintage school wall map of New South Wales in good condition for it's age.  It has suffered a small amount of water staining to the top left hand corner but this does not detract from it's overall bright image.  Of interest is the separate illustration of the Snowy Mountains Scheme under construction and this would date it as sometime in the early to late 1950s.  The irrigation areas located around the Murray and Murrumbidgee areas are also highlighted. A snapshot of NSW at this important time in history. 

The map measures 92cms. high x 116cms. wide, is linen backed and supported by hardwood plinths.  Baby boomers will certainly remember these maps on school walls and they would be a nice piece of nostalgia to hang on the wall.  Maps of this age and condition are becoming increasingly more difficult to obtain.
