GENUINE VINTAGE SHABBY CHIC EIDERDOWN 

 

This Genuine vintage eiderdown is soft fluffy feather/down and in reasonable condition for its age.

Although faded it is pretty. It made of polished cotton  – I think.

It has light cream (not yellowy) background with a hint of a pretty design of

pink flowers. The quilt has a box style stitching in the main body with four eyelets

hand stitched at each corner  – a sign of a superior quilt.

It has a 1.5cm ruffled edge around the sides.

 

Size:  1500cms long x 1120cms wide approx. 

Weight:  2.2kg approx.

 

Condition: All the stitching is intact and there are no visible cut, tears or pulls.

The feathers are soft plump and even. However, each corner has been patched

 with a 5cm square in old fabric – I assume many years ago.

The quilt is very faded and there is slight water marking, which is

not really noticeable in the overall look of the quilt.

I have not tried to remove any of the water staining, it may come out.
