This TASMANIAN SOUVENIR APPLE  is made of King Billy Pine, labelled on the base. It has a sticker with the words 'Greetings from Tasmania' across the top side of the base. It may be a letter rack (the split centre showcases the lovely grain of the wood) or it may be a cocktail savouries holder (with small fine holes drilled in lines across the apple's upper curves). The little green 'stalk' on top is made of plastic.
The finish appears to be a red stain rather than paint. There is some 'crazing' of the surface but no damage to the smooth shape.
It stands about 8.75cms high with a base circumference of 34.5cms. It weighs well under 250gms.
