Circa 1950's BEAUTIFUL Aurora Borealis Crystal earrings for pierced ears. Aurora Borealis crystals were created by Christian Dior in collaboration with Swarovski Crystals of Austria. They change to a rainbow of colours on light refraction & angle viewed. The crystals in this pair are STUNNING beautiful green which shimmer on angle viewed with highlights of blues/golds/purples. Complimented by 2 large faux white pearls which have a metallic sheen to them. Inset into sterling? silver (there are no hallmarks and the vintage designer chose not to sign them). Weigh in at a light 5grams and measure laid flat a long 4.5cms (1 3/4" inches) with a width of 0.75cms (4/10th of an inch). Pictured on a dull day! they are stunning in real life in excellent to mint vintage condition. Vintage, designer unknown.
