1974 VJ CHARGER

plumb crazy purple, 265 & factory D20 4 speed, cain 4 barrel manifold with 750 edelbrock mounted east west

There is no reserve - you bid you buy!!

options: E28, D20, C93, A54

The charger was striped and rust repaired with steel welded in around the bottom front window and rear wheel arch, The motor and box were pulled to paint the engine bay and install a new clutch and have the flywheel machined, also new shifter bushes. I had a stout 265 that used to run triple Webbers so decided to swap the original 245 (which ran very well) for more cubic inches. The front end was rebuilt and rebuilt steering box. The chassis was repaired with 3mm plate steel. It has had air con added at some time (dealer fitted I think) which worked well before the respray, I have yet to put a belt on but guess it will need re-gassing. The interior was redone in white, new hood lining in white, new carpet in black and the boot was covered with black carpet. It has a 3 spoke steering wheel and a tacho dash with sony cd player with 4 speakers. I have also painted and fitted an original interior steel venition which was very hard to find. The 17 inch wheels were new but don’t help the ride as it is lowered 2 inches, I have tried a set of 14 inch mags and it rides a lot better. The speedo doesn’t work as it touched the exhaust and melted, I have a spare but havn’t had a chance to fit it. the side windows have slight scratch's like most chargers but the nob that owned it before me ran a sander up the passenger side, not to bad but I drive with the windows down so it doesn’t bother me. It had a new rubber kit which did everything except the L pop out rear quarters. I do have the original 245 that will go with the car if its wanted.

The paint and body are good but is not 10 out of 10 show quality, if you dont understand this then i suggest looking at the car before bidding, you may be expecting a high dollar show car.

The photo's are attached the last one is the car before the rebuild, as you can see it wasnt a heap of CRAP.

if you have any more questions or need more photo's just ask. i dont need to sell just want to start another project. have a look at the prices a beat up shell or junker gets on here and add up what it would take to get it going, this owes me a lot more than the starting price without the time i put into it.

currently on club rego    **car will be sold unregistered with no warranty or refunds**
