At the 8th race of the 2005 MotoGP season in Laguna Seca, Yamaha celebrated the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the company. Valentino's race YZR-M1 was decorated with a special livery - instead of the usual 'Gauloises Blue' decoration, the bike wore a very special yellow colour with black and white accents representing the colours of Yamaha USA and as a reminder of the company's legendary victories in the late 1970s.

This is the exact replica of the bike Valentino rode at the US MotoGP Laguna Seca 2005.
