 Q: hi, is this the same as shell ginger? thank you.
A: this ginger is part of the hedychium group while the shell ginger is an alpinia. very different flowers. hedychiums are also softer foliage and do not grow as high as shell ginger (2m vs 3 plus metres)

 Q: Hi, is it seed grown or a division? Will the one for sale have the same amount of variegation as the one in the photo? cheers
A: Hi, all plants are grown from division and are variegated. We have noticed that all new plants are lighter in colour than original but still highly variegated. As they grow the variegation darkens but remains strong. cheers
