Invest in Postal History
The three emerging trends in Philately are 1/ Postal History 2/ Postal History 3/ Postal History - Stamp Collecting as we have known it for over 100 years is undergoing a change from collection of Mint and used stamps and the various varieties, to the more colourful and interesting aspects of postal history. Postal History is the new trend because every item of Postal History tells a story from a bygone era, where an item was sent from, where it was going to and in some cases the contents of the article.
Here we are dealing with the Postal history of the Australian Colony of Victoria, one of the world's great area's of Philately which over many years has been the subject of some of the world's greatest collectors. In particular the Barred Numerals of Victoria - Invest in a piece of Victorian Postal History!
Barred Numerals were used between 1856 and 1913 in Victoria to indicate which town that mail originated from.
The numbers were from 1 for Melbourne to 2100 for King Valley.
