Victorian Era Lion Pattern Butter Dish Rogers 1890s NR

Up for bid is an exceptional silverplate butter dish with lion's head and paws for it's 3 feet, and a glass insert with a Fleur-di-Lys pattern, made by the F.  B. Rogers Silver Co Ca. the 1890's. It is in super excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents or dings. The silverplate shows little to no wear, and has a nearly perfect patina to it. It is marked on the bottom "F. B. Rogers Silver Co., 1883, 273" under a crown (see photo). The silverplate is in outstanding condition, and the lid operates very smoothly with no hitches. The holes that hold the lid are not bent in any way. It is an excellent butter dish. It measures about 4 5/8" tall, by about 4 7/8" wide at the top of the lion's head feet. This is as beautiful a butter dish as you will find, with super excellent color and condition. We have no control over that. Look at your stamp for the cost, and compare it to what you paid for shipping.
