Large flame mahogany chest of seven [7] drawers, circa 1880. Comprises 1 large, full-width upper shirt drawer [ogee frieze] and 3 extra-deep bow-fronted drawers over 3 full-width drawers, all with fine handcut dovetail joints. Flanked by barley-twist pilasters or side columns. Turned bun feet and plinth base.

All drawers are in excellent, straight condition. A beautiful piece of furniture in top notch condition -- carefully maintained by current owner. Will suit the most discerning buyer. Reluctant forced sale due to forthcoming downsize move.

Pick-up only bayside Melbourne -- or buyer may choose to organise backload at own expense.

Dimensions: height = 130.0cm, width = 124.5cm, depth = 60.0cm. Please note that the following minor faults have been identified: • damage to a small section of beading on the centre bow-fronted drawer • surface crack at rear of right pilaster [not readily discernible] • small blemish to woodwork behind right pilaster [hidden] • missing scutcheon keyhole surround centre bow-fronted drawer
