This is a great world map issued by INDEPENDENT OIL INDUSTIRES PTY. LTD. marketers of "PURR PULL" petrol, motor oil and kerosene

 

Features good graphics and advertising slogans 

 

AGE:   

 

Not dated but I would think 1940s vintage - Independent Oil Industries were first registered in Australia in 1933 and taken over by H.C. Sleigh in 1953

 

CONDITION:      

 

Overall in good condition with some scattered age staining and wear, mainly to lower edge - a small fold split and few small holes only (see last photo)

 

SIZE:     

 

Approx. 3' 4" by 2'

 

 Always hard to find any PURR PULL items and this is something different for the garagenalia collector
