Vintage 1950 deco purple/gold fabric bolt 5.2 mtr + tag
Description
A bolt of very stylish fabric which dates to 1950 (according to the original tag) The fabric measures 5.25 metres long x 1.1 metre wide It is the most vivid color with waves of purple with shiny gold & silver thread When you view it on an angle it has a very pronounced shimmer It looks more lovely in real life & the photos do not do it justice This fabric came from a friend's great auntie & it has been stored since new & has never seen the light of day It is fairly lightweight & slightly transparent I have no idea what it is made from & I cannot make out the fabric name on the tag The fabric is in excellent unused condition There is a slight 3cm manufacturers flaw to one of the purple waves where it has been double sewn about 1.5 - 2 metres into the fabric length To give you an idea of scale each purple wave measures approx 3.5 cm from the crest to crest A rare chance to acquire a pristine bolt of vintage fabric
