Volume 1 of 3 Great Encyclopaedic Dictionary from Reader's Digest.  Published in 1965, this book is in good condition for it's age.  There is a small tear at the top of the spine, and significant age marks and tanning.  Most pages are clear of marks.  Binding is still tight.  Including numerous illustrations and drawings, this volume would still be a valuable and educational addition to any library.

Condition Explanations

NEW = Brand new condition. As bought from a store.

EXCELLENT = May have been read carefully only a few times.  Cover and pages are mostly clean and unmarked. There may be some minor rubbing or minimal creasing on spine, corners and edges. Binding is tight. May have previous owner’s name or small stamp on a front page.  Some older books may have minimal page yellowing. 

VERY GOOD = Cover and pages may have minor marks, blemishes and/or creasing. There may be some rubbing or creasing on spine. All pages are intact and binding is tight. May have previous owner’s name or small stamp on a front page.  Some books especially older ones may have page yellowing.

GOOD = Visible signs that this book has had a good pre-loved life. Cover, pages and spine will have noticeable marks, blemishes and/or creasing. There may be an inscription or multiple stamps on the inside cover or pages. Binding may be coming loose.  Rare or old books may be missing page corners, have tears or significant yellowing pages. This quality is more for reading.

FAIR = Significant visible signs of wear and tear. There may be an inscription, multiple stamps on the cover or inside pages (eg ex-library book). Cover, pages and /or spine will have major noticeable marks, blemishes and/or creasing. Rare or old books may have small repaired tears or significant yellowing pages. Binding may be coming loose. 

Payment:

Payment is required within 4 days of close of sale.  If you are planning to purchase multiple items that end on different days, please let me know so I am aware of the reason for delayed payment.

Payment can be made by PayPal (credit card, bank deposit or PayPal balance), direct bank deposit or Australian money order (available from Australia Post). Details are available in checkout. 

Items will not be posted until payment is received, so the sooner you make payment, the sooner you will receive your item. 

Please note that different payment methods take differing periods of time to clear:

·         PayPal eCheques can take up to 7 business days to clear

·         Bank deposits can take up to 2 business days to clear

·         Money orders can take up to 4 business days to arrive, depending on where it was sent from

·         PayPal Instant payments (from PayPal balance or credit card) are literally instant

Please remember that if payment has not been received 7 days after close of sale, I will be required to lodge a no-payment report to eBay, which I really don’t want to have to do.  Persistent non-payers or slow payers will be blocked from bidding or buying.


Shipping:

I offer combined shipping discounts. For books, I use Parcel Post Satchels, so I will fit as many books as I can into the 500g or 3kg Satchel. The book weights are included in the item description, but to be sure, please contact me with the books that you are interested in and I will confirm the postage cost. Items can be sent by Express Post by request, for an additional $2.00.  The postage cost listed includes both the Australia Post postage charge, plus the cost of packaging (boxes, bubble wrap etc).  We endeavour to accurately estimate the total postage and will refund any over-payment.
