WELCOME

Up for auction is this stunning hand quilted cushion cover, dating from the 1930s or 1940s and completely unused.

It has been made from a gold coloured satin and the quilting is the type which has the design picked out by a cord inserted into the work.

The cushion cover is made for an 18 inch pad and it has a pleated 1.5 inch frill all the way round.

The design is of a central slightly stylised flower with leaves surounding it

The back of the cover is in the same plain satin and it has a simple pillowcase type opening.

It is in immaculate condition as if it were made yesterday
