Have several vintage collectible ABU Ambassadeurs listed this week and this auction for a solid working Ambassadeur 5000 reel and the older style with grooved rims. Mechanics in very good solid working condition and all mechanics sound and smooth. Probably should be cleaned and lubed as I do not do that, but fine to fish as it is and will last decades longer if taken care of. Probably close to 37+ years old or more and still works great.
Exterior shows some age with fairly heavy upper rim rash, pretty good left side paint rub and normal wear. One side of the foot maybe filed down a bit and it's bent just a bit. Has a large crank replacement handle on it that is missing the washer and screw. Easy to fix or replace the handle but works fine as it is. Foot stamped 680590.
Good reel to fish with and a good $40 worth of parts inside it.
