SPECTACULAR embroidered silk Andalucian/Manilla fringed
shawl, tentatively dated from the 1920's.
Andalucia gave some of its own character to the shawl,
covering it with roses and carnations, replacing the usual dragons and chinese
pagodas with flower motifs and describing exactly the customs of the country.
I have spent the past 2 months researching this
shawl and have not found anything similar in weight.Most of the like ones were very light,
usually round three lbs.This shawl is
VERY HEAVY!!!!!Weighs approx. 8lb.
In excellent condition.
The colors are beautiful and vibrant. I could not find any
loose stitches.
The center panel is 58" x 58". The woven band is
4" wide and the fringe is 20" long.

El chal bordado ESPECTACULAR de fringed de Andalucian/Manilla de seda, dató de tentativamente los 1920.
Andalucia dio algunos de su propio carácter al chal, lo cubriendo con rosas y claveles, reemplazando los dragones usuales y pagodas chinas con motivos de flor y describiendo exactamente la aduana del país. He gastado el por delante de 2 meses que investigan este chal y no han encontrado nada semejante en el peso. La mayor parte de unos de cosa igual fueron muy ligeros, redondea generalmente tres lbs. ¡Este chal está MUY PESADO! !!!! Pesa aprox. 8 lbs.
