Firstly , please read the payment options and instructions for either Australian buyers or international buyers following the description...............Please!
I will email you at your NORMAL email address, immediately in most cases- but certainly within 24 hrs after the auction with all payment and shipping details. If you are the winner of the auction, PLEASE check your normal email.
The pictures form an intergral part of the description of this lens, so please check them all out.(I hate those super size pics. for a seller they show EVERY blemish , no matter how small. For YOU, the buyer, they give you chance to see the item warts and all.If a seller uses these large pics, take the time to take advantage of them, they do NOT hide anything) Sorry, back to the item.....
As Pentax aficionados are well aware, after about 15 years of being manufactured in Japan, production of the venerable K1000 was transferred to Hong Kong, and then to mainland China in order to lower production costs for this economy-priced, mechanically based model. The Made In Japan K1000s are (except for wind-lever tips and the like) all metal, and bear the distinctive "AOCo" Asahi Optical Company logo and the Asashi Pentax name on the front of the pentaprism housing. These identifying marks are absent on the Hong Kong model
This is one of the earlier Japanese made K 1000 s ,probaly made around 1980. The last of the mechanical Pentaxes, and a great camera,as a landmark for the collector , or as a user for the film photographer. This one is serial # 6272643
You also get a standard lens, a Pentax -A f 2 50mm. This lens will also work with some of the later Pentax SLR's , but will not give you the auto functions on a lot of them.It will even work on later Pentax digital Slr's, but the Custom setting must be set to operate with non auto lenses.I have used it on my K 20 D and it works ok.The lens is cosmetically good, and is optically clear, with no growth and minimal internal dust. This lens is a little later than the camera body.
But you also get a Focal 2x Teleconverter, to double the fical length of any lens. This is cosmetically exc, and optically clear.
And you also get a set of 3 extension tubes. These are AS NEW , in box with insturctions and original packing. These enable super close ups.
The camera body is well used, but is all working. The winding lever return is a little lazy, but the CFPS shutter is ok and appears accurate. The camera is from a school, and shows a bit of wear to the body.but check the supersize pics which show it in all its glory. The meter works, needs a readily available AG 13 battery( supplied). The meter stays on until you replace the lens cap.I will supply a lens cap with this outfit. If you leave the lens cap off it will flatten the battery quickly. This is NOT a fault, it is the way the camera was designed.
This is an ideal outfit to learn film photography , or to develop a feel for close up and extreme close up work.

I am selling lots of things ,from my collections of many years. But mainly cameras,( I will attempt to describe them as best I can , and I check them as thoroughly as possible, and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.(Check my positive feedbacks )But they are sold primarily as collectibles, and while some of them may be quite good users, they are NOT sold as useable cameras.I have not run a film through them , and have not taken them apart on a test bench to search for anything that may require repair. They are sold as is.Please understand this, particularly if you are bidding on a 50 odd year old camera, expecting something to operate as if it were new.
I will have quite a few collectible cameras listed in the next few weeks. Please check them out.
I AM ALSO DOWNSIZING my KODAK collection,SO IF THERE IS ANY PARTICULARLY KODAK STUFF YOU WANT,please email me at ozdak@pipeline.com.au
