Series 300 PMG Desk Phone

This is a magnificent example of a circa 1938 - 332AT telephone and is in truly superb condition.

Over  70 years old

High gloss natural finish and "new old stock" cords.  The transmission and reception is clear and the bells ring strong and loud. 

This phone is in my opinion, close to the best possible condition that you can find anywhere with no chips, cracks or scuff marks on the bakelite and the fully reconditioned dial runs freely. This phone would look great in any period home, retro fit out or home office.

Cord is of the RJ type (most modern type) and the older style adapter will be shipped if you e-mail at time of payment.

-------------------History of the 332AT Desk Phone-----------------

Introduced in Australia by the PMG around 1938 (announced in 1938) to replace the 232 series and were very reliable. Many examples remained in service till the 1980's. They were replaced in the late 50's (around 1958) by the series 400 desk phone with the less ornate hand piece being the obvious difference.

NOTE *** I have been told by others and some user groups that service providers other than Telstra may not support the dialing function of this phone as they have switched it off in the exchange. I am told that Optus subscribers may not be able to make outgoing calls, but incoming will still ring loud and true. This phone is fully tested on a Telstra line only.
