Vintage Commonwealth Ericsson Wall Telephone

100 years old Dated 11th. March 1909

For your consideration is this superb complete original Commonwealth Ericsson in magnificent condition with the optional extra secound, or mother in law receiver. This phone was the standard telephone that was adopted by the Post Master Generals Department for magneto exchanges after Federation in 1901. The Ericsson company phones were universally accepted  worldwide as the most functional and asthetically beautiful phone ever produced. This phone is in extremely good condition inside and out, with no corrosian or acid stains in the battery compartment which is a common problem with this type of phone. All of the brass fittings are in original, as found condition with quite a reasonable amount of nickle plating surviving, and the original cords intact.  These very rare items are most suited to the collector who attains to a collection that dates back to the earliest days of the P.M.G. These phones  would look great as a talking point in any home, or as a backdrop in an office environment, not to mention as being the centerpiece of any collection or display.

I pack my items extremely well with plenty of bubble wrap but for this rare phone postage will be signed for registered and  insured if requested, and insured up to the nearest hundred dollars of the actual cost of the phone.  This can be included with the $35 postage charge.  Buyers are to request an updated invoice if insurance is required This is to ensure that you receive a more accurate postal charge and if your phone is damaged or lost in the mail you can recoup all your funds.  I know the postage seems a bit pricey but it's well worth it to ensure peace of mind.
