Vintage Designer Givenchy Couture Coat Late 50's-60's

          I am offering an elegant vintage couture Givenchy coat circa late 1950's - early 1960's.   This is the real thing; please see the handwritten couture number label sewn below the Givenchy label as shown in the photos.  The coat is made of a lightly textured royal blue silk satin and natural fur.   The lining is an iridescent blue black silk.  The coat is double breasted with 10 beaded buttons down the front.  The fur is light brown shot with blue & may have been added at a later date. This piece is in generally good condition with some imperfections.  There is light fading on the sleeves and along the sides of the coat.  The fabric is pulled in several areas. The lining and fur are in excellent condition. The coat is very wearable even with the imperfections. The fine workmanship that one would expect to see in a couture coat of this quality is evident.  This garment was custom made to the size of the woman who ordered it. The size is comparable to an American women’s 8-10.  The coat measures 21 inches across the front from underarm to underarm, the waist is 37 inches, the hips are 41 inches, the shoulders across the front are 20 inches and center front waist to hem is 30 inches.
