A fantastic opportunity to own an authentic Edwardian Girl’s dress, extensively trimmed with extra laces, and in such great condition! Made from a fine white cotton lawn material and very soft – like handkerchief material.

Probably Parisian special order, in origin, but worn in America after a trip abroad for the latest fashions of the day.  This little girl would be so proud to wear this fine lawn cotton dress, with hand made bobbin lace trimming the collar, front bodice placket on both sides, and doubling lace trim on the cuffs and hem area; finer touches are added with ruching alternating with the lace and pin tucks, giving this a very cute French Madeline look.

Although loosely fitted, the dress has fabulous Edwardian shaping, with long darts running up and down  in the back and  with characteristic extra puffy Edwardian sleeves.  Sleeves have the extra touch of a black grosgrain ribbon bow at each inner wrist area.

Minor repairs, with slight discolor near the collar area, which could be probably washed out.

A real GEM!!

Total length: 29 inches

Shoulder to shoulder flat: 11.5 inches

Underarm to underarm flat: 18 inches.

Sleeve length: 24 inches (long for the proportions, and meant to scoot up at the wrist.)

Hem trimming to a depth of 7 inches!!

Clean and sound!  One of my favorite pieces from this special vintage lot!
