Hokkaido Island Floats - All of these floats are from Hokkaido Island of northern Japan and are authentic glass fishing floats - used in the fishing industry for many years and now highly sought after collectables.

This batch of 50 floats (all 4 inches in diameter) are encased in plastic and roped closed.  We are selling them sight unseen -(the picture is an example of probable finds). All of them are shipped from Hokkaido and remain unsorted.  We have sorted through some of these already and found spindles, swirls, great colours, symbols etc. and expect that you may also find some treasures worth way beyond the unit price.

All authentic fishing floats will show signs of wear and tear and may have blemishes and small foreign objects embedded.  All of these are considered by collectors to add value to the float.

Fedex to USA is $200 - which calculates to $4 per float.  The unit cost for each float is $5 so the total cost of each float is including shipping is $9 - only available in lots of 50 or more.

Postage within Australia is dependent on State or Territory.

A: Hi Margaret, The plastic casing is to protect the float. It is used instead of the nets. It is easy to get off, just snip the rope and the casing can be eased off the float. Regards Betty
