DESCRIPTION: What
a magnificent piece of furniture is this impressive sideboard! This
well balanced cabinet of generous proportions has all the flair and elegance for which the French are
so well known. It has been made from walnut, a lovely
warm timber with an attractive grain and features subtle decoration in
the carving which adds definition to the overall design, while
highlighting the beauty of the wood. This unusual design provides a wonderful opportunity for displaying special items inside the central enclosed glass cabinet, as well as on the curved shelves which flank it; below there is ample
storage within its three large cupboards and drawers, making this a very
useful piece of furniture indeed. (*If desired, the top section can be removed as shown in our photos.) A beautiful way to add style and distinction to
your home.
CONDITION:
Very good for a vintage piece, strong and sturdy. A well made item of a high quality, constructed from a combination of solid walnut and walnut veneered timber; the timber has a lovely finish and
is in very good order, with only minor signs of wear for its age. The
shelves can be removed as they just rest on fixed supports and there is a key for the glass display cabinet. This item separates into two pieces for transport. *NOTE: If using the sideboard base alone, some holes in the top surface will be visible - four along the back edge and two towards the centre (see photo 10). Please
note that our photos form part of the item description and are a
good indication of the actual colour.

PICK UP: We have two pick up locations now: Buyers/Couriers in CARS, VANS OR UTES to pick up only from our home in CAMDEN, 2570 southwest of Sydney. Carriers in TRUCKS to pick up only from our storage unit in SMEATON GRANGE, 2567 adjacent to Narellan/Camden. Please let us know after the auction has ended which type of vehicle will be used for pick up so we can give you the correct address.
NOTE: If an item has been classified as "used", please don't expect that it will be in perfect or "as new" condition. It has had a previous life so naturally it will have some signs of use/wear. We always try to be as accurate and helpful as possible, so we will draw attention to any significant feature or aspect, in the text and/or the photos. • payment preference: Please contact us on 0419 430 945 to discuss payment for your item. We much prefer bank deposit or cash on pick up where possible. Cash on pick up is available if the item is picked up within a week. (We do also accept Paypal - but it is NOT our preference due to the extra cost involved.)
• invoice: We usually invoice at the end of the auction night. We will also email you our contact information, the pick up location and times, and payment instructions.
• delivery: Buyer to arrange for delivery. We advise you to make enquiries and get quotes before you bid, ensuring that your courier will wrap your item for delivery. We can recommend the following couriers:
