A quick overview of the item is as follows:
Item: Dressing Gown
Material: Velvet/Lace
Condition: Vintage Excellent
Color: Purple
Size: US 6-8

This is a stunning example of a Deco vintage dressing gown. The craftsmanship is superb! It is a Royal Purple – the photos make it look like a blue purple but it really has more of a red undertone. The Ecru lace is detailed and plentiful. The lace runs around the collar, down the front and along the bottom. A pointed lace train is the crowning detail of this exquisite dressing gown.
Overall condition is excellent. There are a few areas where the lace has separated but nothing major. Also, there are two areas with seam openings that need to be repaired.
The velvet remains soft and supple. No odors or dirt marks.
The tag on the dressing gown indicates that it was from The Negligee Shop Franklin Simon Fifth Avenue New York.
Please review all photos. The dress form is a size 6 but the dressing gown could certainly be worn up one size as it is loose and flowing.
This listing is only for the purple dressing gown. The other deco items pictured are available in my store.
