Circa 1966 Vintage Red Telephone

801 Automatic Table Phone

Circa 1966, stunning retro phone in superb excellent condition. Made by AWA in 1966 with a serial number s.1/234. This phone is in pristine condition as the photos show with new old stock handset cord and a matching line cord, new transmitter insert and comes with a clean dial and unused dial label.  It has a super high gloss finish with no chips or scratches and is very popular with the avid retro lovers. It makes and receives calls and the bell rings loud and clear. This phone  would look great in any home.

This is a lovely phone and would be great for the vintage/retro lover.

I can also modify the plug to fit a modern type RJ or miniplug which will also ring fine on incoming calls.  This can be done free of charge just let me know via email before payment

 

All of my phones have been modified on the inside and will ring regardless of the wiring in your phone socket

Postage Advice

I pack my items extremely well with plenty of bubble wrap but for peace of mind I highly recommend you using registered post as this includes $100 worth of insurance.  If you have registered your item and it is damaged or lost in the mail I will try my best to repair or replace the product but can not guarantee this as old phones are quite rare and parts hard to come by.  Extra insurance is available and recommended for items over $100 and available at Australia Post price, which I think is about $1.25 per $100.  Please email me before payment and I will get an insurance quote depending on the final auction price and send you a revised invoice.  If you choose just regular post and your item is damaged in the mail I will try to repair your item but this may incur a small fixing fee depending on what is wrong and if your item is lost in the mail I will be unable to offer a refund.
