This auction comes to you from a long tome upstate New York estate. Presented here for your consideration is this very nice vintage Smoking Ashtray stand.
The ashtray is in the shape of a leaf very heavy well made no maker on the ceramic piece.
The stand is brass and ceramic. The color is pink and gold with the metal being brass. The ceramic is in nice shape. Shows no chips or cracks and no scratches It has no burn marks and does not look like it was used as an ashtray. The gold trim shows some ware on the inside on the ashtray none on the stand part. The brass does show some patina looks and displays very nicely.
The stand is about 29" tall to the handle with the ashtray being about 14 1/2" x 12" The under side of the ashtray says Midstate FDRY Co. number 791M with an MS and the word Charleston, I think it is ILL.
The pottery feels like it may be California or a Hull make pottery, but am unsure.
This is a great retro eamas era ashtray stand that would most certainly complement any collection.
