As per the photos, this is a vintage Treadle 'Universal Minerva' Sewing Machine in the original cabinet - with a built in seat!

The cabinet has no actual damage, however as you can see, has not had a polish in a long time. It didn't even get a light dust before the photos were taken and with a good polish will look a million times better.

The top opens to the side to create a work bench and the hinges are still in very good working order. It opens and closes smoothly.

The machine lifts up and appears to be in good order however I have no idea how to use a modern sewing maching, much less one of these old girls so have no idea if it actually works or not - sorry!

The cast iron treadle and wheel are inside the cupboard section of the cabinet.

Now for something I have never seen before... the front door forms the back of a built in seat which lifts out from inside the cabinet. How fabulous is this! :)
The seat is in remarkably good condition - very solid and sturdy and safe to sit on (although obviously needs a good dust and clean).

This really is a most unusual style of cabinet treadle sewing machine that with some tlc can look fabulous again - and possibly even remarkably practical! :)

When putting the seat back in, I discovered that the seat top opens and there is a storage box under the seat!

Inside is the original manual for the machine and green machine accessories tin with accessories :)
