DESCRIPTION:   Vintage Watford Motorcycle speedometer

This is an early British motorcycle speedometer. It is a very nice 60 MPH Watford speedometer - the last photo shows a description of the Watford speedo in the 1911 edition of the Motorcyclists handbook. It is in good original condition as shown in the photos.  The dial, numbers, brass case etc are in very good condition. The beveled glass is in good order apart from a minor scratch. The speedometer is in good working order - we would recommend a good service and lubrication as it probably been a long time since the last service. The face is approx 3 1/4 inches in diameter.  Would make a nice addition to an early British motorcycle.
