Vixen R150S Telescope Optical Tube Made in Japan

Up for auction is my "like new" six inch reflector. 150mm diameter mirror and 750mm effective aperture. Opening bid is 1/2 of retail! (see www.vixenoptics.com) This telescope has been used out in my driveway a couple of times so it is just like new. The only blemish is a small spot on the white paint of the dovetail plate where the lock screw attaches it to the mount. Includes clear warranty registration card but no original receipt, I don't know if Vixen will accept the warranty without original receipt or not. This a beautiful and precise optical instrument of extremely high quality. If you are looking for a six inch reflector then don't miss this one. Collimation is good today just as I received from the factory, but be advised that shipping always provides a chance of disruption. If that happens collimation is easy and instructions are a download from the Vixen web site. I have too many optical tubes and am selling this one to upgrade my equatorial mount. The difference from this Japanese made reflector and the Chinese made Syntras is night and day. The sliding focuser is so accurate and smooth, a huge improvement over the rack and pinions on almost all reflectors out there. Includes mount rings and dovetail plate, red dot finder, and as a bonus a Meade eyepiece projection camera adapter. If you are looking to get into astrophotography this is an excellent choice due the the fast focal length of 1:5.
