Waterproof Marine Grade Heat Shrink Tubing 80pc Toolbox assortment kit

Unlike regular heat shrink tubing this 'waterproof' marine grade version is pre-lined with a silicon based hot-melt sealant/adhesive. Applied and shrunk into place exactly the same as standard grade heat shrink, this marine grade with a polyolefin outer casing releases the sealant liner in a liquid form during the shrinking process which fills all the voids inside the tubing then semi-solidifies to create a permanent watertight seal.

Ideal for use in all marine applications and is unaffected by salt water. It is very suitable for other general purpose uses also, in particular for underground and wet area locations.

Sealant lined tubing is also excellent for 'rust-proofing' metal pipes/tubes that are exposed to harsh environmental conditions, and is very effective at resisting abrasion.

NOTE; Tubing diameters indicated are the expanded sizes. Shrinkage ratio of this tubing is 3 to 1, this means that the 3.2mm tube can shrink down to approximately 1mm, in effect allowing this size tube to be used effectively on wire/cable/pipe/rope with a diameter anywhere between about 1.2mm and 3mm.
