The diamond 8.2 active monitors incorporate all the qualities of it's preceeding models and combines that will innovation and features to take value home studio monitors to the next level. The diamond 8.2 pro active model features a 1" textile dome ferrofluid cooled tweeter powered with an ultra-strong neodymium magnet for the fast and accurate high frequency response. The 6.5" woofer cone is made from a bi-directional kevlar weave - self-damping in nature reducing resonant frequencies to virtually negligible levels. In order to achieve a matching response for the lower frequencies wharfedale have implemented a dual layer vented voice coil which transmits the signal information with the highest levels of accuracy. Furthermore the cone itself is mounted on a nitrile rubber flexaural surround. With a profiled phase plug to improve the off-axis performance each speaker projects an excellent stereo image across a wide listening area thus widening 'the sweet spot' in any studio or monitoring application.
