WOMENS SPORT YARRA FALLS NETBALL 1937 PREMIERS PHOTO

Lovely old naive real photograph mounted on cellulose & metal with hanging hook intact. By Allan Studio portraying the successful members (seven) of the Victorian Women's "Basket-Ball" Association B Team 1937. Naturally this is netball but called basketball way back then.

Members are D Bright, K Gillen, F Pitham, B Lorey, M Ryan, O Hocking, and P Hortle.

All printing on the picture has been hand done in black ink using a naive calligraphic style. and in its own way adds to the charm of this obscure piece of the Yarra Falls (Richmond) knitting mills.

CONDITION: Very sound, the photo itself, protected under the cellulose is excellent. The frame is a bit distorted, and the cellulose a bit rimpled but still very tight & all four corners have distinct bumps to them.
