Are you thinking of buying your children a rabbit or guinea pig for Christmas? Don’t bother spending all the money on a new hutch. Here is the one you need.
The hutch is off-ground single story and has an enclosed and an “open” (behind bars) area with a wooden floors. Both floors can be removed.
If you are planning on having the hutch outside, you can remove one of the floors to allow the animals to get into the grass and move under the other side, almost turning the hutch into a two storey one. I have added horizontal wooden bars between the legs to avoid fugatives through that void when you allow the animal to roam under the floor level.
It has a hinged roof with a safety catch hinge for easy access and cleaning.
The hutch has been kept outdoors but is in good condition on the outside. I have just given it a complete treatment with outdoor furniture oil in preparation for this sale. The inside has been slightly chewed.
